Shadow Theatre is an enigmatic form of performance - comical like cartoons or borne out of our deepest fears and the unsolved mysteries of our lives. It might be expressed through the whole body or by means of the intricate ancient skills of Wayang Kulit. Shadow puppetry might be strongly narrative or beautifully abstract or dance-like. During this course you will learn a range of different puppet-making skills, exploring light sources and screens. You will make solo work to take away with you, create group work and perform in public. This course offers you professional preparation (if you have the energy and commitment for it!)
Other studies includes collaborations with professional artists outside puppetry, and business studies for puppeteers.

Accommodation is available in the village, where we have friends of
the school willing to take puppeteers at very reasonable rents from £80.00 per week.
