Health and Safety

It is the policy of LSP to carry out a risk assessment at every venue used for teaching and performing. This will be carried out by staff and representatives of the student body to identify any hazards. At all times, remedies will be provided and adequate warnings given.

Everyone with an identified impairment who would have difficulty evacuating the teaching spaces unaided should ensure that they have a personal safety plan for each of the teaching spaces expected to be used. Please ensure that a personal safety plan is shared with all tutors and student colleagues. Everyone attending LSP has a responsibility for health and safety and should be aware of the procedures to be followed in the event of fire.Every building/teaching space has PL insurance and every tutor carries individual PL to cover students and staff in classes. Performances are covered by Employers Liability Insurance.

All LSP students are required to have a CRB check carried out, international students should contact their police to acquire the equivalent document.
