Statement of values

Integrity

Members of the LSP Committee and Academic Board will be open and honest with one another and work with the international and UK puppetry communities to develop standards for puppetry. We will encourage the highest possible standards of conduct and ethics.

Respect for Puppeteers

LSP in all of its work will show graciousness and respect to all people. The success of LSP depends on seeking out and listening to the ideas and advice of others in the whole puppetry community, in business, the arts and from education.

Belief in the Puppetry Community

LSP will provide and promote an environment of belief and trust that fosters and rewards the best in ideas and efforts. In developing puppetry training, LSP will look for those individuals and their organisations best able to make a contribution to the art of puppetry, respecting and supporting their leadership and ideas.

Commitment to Puppetry

LSP will identify unique and long term strategic opportunities for making a difference in the sphere of professional puppetry. LSP will evaluate their effectiveness and change strategies as necessary. LSP will rise to the challenge to change thinking in institutions to develop a greater openness and sharing of vision for the art of puppetry.

Equality

LSP will continue to ensure that we are committed to providing equality of opportunity and treatment for all, and that we will not unlawfully of unfairly discriminate directly or indirectly on the basis of gender, age, ethnic origin or disability in our dealings with the puppetry community, tutors or students.
